Essex allrounder performance aginst derbyshire

 Group 1

Essex showed great intent on the second day of the game against Derbyshire to try to push for victory after the opening day was cleared. Led by their captors Tom Westley and Dan Lawrence, the Essex strikers, helped their team send in 412/3 in just 76 overs. While Westley made 106 off just 112 balls, Lawrence helped himself fire quickly without hitting 152 who had just delivered 133 before the announcement. Their bowlers supported that strenuous strike effort by reducing Derbyshire to 35/3 per cent.

A trained bowling effort from Durham saw them pick up the first innings leading Warwickshire on the second day. After being released at 250 on opening day, Durham made a powerful show with the ball. Chris Rushworth's five-wicket haul was a huge blow as no opposition batsmen managed to make it over 50. After leading by 33 runs, Durham got off to a good start with a bat in their second innings to extend their chance. They lost Alex Lees to 12 but Will Young and captain Scott Borthwick beat the rest of the day to lead more than a hundred.

Group 2

After the opening day of the wash, there was no game until lunch in Taunton on Day 2. When the rain subsided, Surrey was led by captain Rory Burns who scored 50 points as Surrey finished the day with 191 at 4 p.m. in the middle before being issued by Marchant de Lange for 55 years. Ollie Pope then kept Surrey in the game only to fall before the game closed on the day when 59 overs were awarded.

Kyle Abbott's six-wicket lead contributed to Day 2 keeping Middlesex just 172 years old after starting the day at 56 at 4 p.m. As the wickets fell on him, Nick Gubbins stood tall for a century, but the next of the 27 points came from Blake Cullen in No. 9. Hampshire had tails at the top, but not for long, downgraded to 9 out of 3 due to a double strike by Ethan Bamber. They also recovered when captain James Vince took the lead with 62 points as they finished the day with 131 in 7.

Group 3

Aside from the whole first day of bathing, and the bad light forcing the first Stumps on the second day, the game has progressed rather quickly due to certain conditions ready for easy stitching. And Yorkshire needed the knowledge of Joe Root, unbeaten in 34 and fights without dim light, to keep the game balanced after Michael Neser continued his purple ball with the ball and tore up Yorkshire's top-order by three wickets for his first spell. Earlier Glamorgan’s innings went under two sessions, Steven Patterson and Harry Brook combined for 149 with three wickets each. Had it not been for the last three wickets to score 67 runs, things would have been very embarrassing for the hosts.

Zak Crawley, with 50 undefeated fans, raised hopes of a comeback from Kent, after rolling out 145 in the first innings. Sussex, on the other hand, would be very disappointed if none of their batsmen changed their starting lineup, and without the 111 lead they received, they could feel wasting their chances of beating the visitors out of the game. Now with Kent having 27 runs and eight wickets in hand, and the area is cool and relaxed where Lancashire chased their goal in the previous game at the stadium, they can hope to send 250
